Headed for Africa

Walked 3 miles to amazing Branden Beach in Mount Gay. Yes, across from the rum factory. Everything here is fried or with sugar. And the rum punch is prevalent. Cheated and took a taxi back. Now time to shower and head up on deck for our “sail-away” party. This will be my first Atlantic crossing by ship. The allocation is 5 days and I have no idea what the weather will be like in the Atlantic in January. But we are quite a way south. Met folks on a ship from South Hampton, so they made it ok. I’ll let you know if it is the same, worse, or better than Drakes Passage. Cheers.
